Void Vision / Tuxedo Gleam / Zanna Nera
The Brvtalist presents
Welcoming back to L.A. for the first time in three years, Philadelphia's Void Vision. The music project of Shari Vari, Void Vision began in 2009 and quickly established itself as one of the premiere acts in the current generation of synth/wave. "In a rare instance, Void Vision has managed to combine vintage dance elements with melodic structures, haunting melancholy, and lyrics that have a palpable soul. The songs themselves are dynamic, referencing a cross-section of the last 30 years of electronic music, while simultaneously retaining a uniqueness all their own." - Mannequin Records
Also with us is Modesto's Tuxedo Gleam. Mixing elements of cold, dark and synth wave, Tuxedo Gleam crafts beautifully seductive tracks that submerge the listener into a dark state of equal parts gloom and glamour. The project is driven by the synthesizer stylings of Aunt Gleam and Angel Marie and the moment we heard 2013's "Darkened Corners", we were hooked. That lead to other releases including one of our favorite tracks of 2015, "Object of Desire", out on Brvtalist favorite Lentonia. We had the band contribute New Brvtalism No. 031 and have been hoping to see a live appearance ever since. We are proud to present the duo's first L.A. show.
And finally, we could not be more thrilled to have Oakland-based project Zanna Nera. We've been pretty much obsessed with the solo effort of Beca Irizarry for the past couple of years and have been dying to bring her down to L.A. Zanna Nera is a punishing blend of dark, cold and black waves, rich in analog destruction and influenced by fetish, horror and much more. It is a rare treat to have her here.
Thanks to everyone for their support and looking forward to this show. Pre-sale tickets are available here: https://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/1185679
