The time has come for the annual trajectory of Tutu Tuesday from San Francisco to Black Rock City to gain momentum and catapult into orbit! Who better to navigate an interstellar send-off that Disco Knights warrior Jimmy B and Kazbah kingpin Papa Lu. Representing sound camps with some of the coolest music programming on the planet, these two are responsible for some serious shenanigans on and off the playa.
Jimmy B recently returned home to SF after an epic European tour celebrating some professional milestones including his latest mix for Deep House Amsterdam:
Papa Lu is a regular pillar in the house music community of SF. His exploration of various currents within the dance music genre keep his sets as consistently edgy as they are energetic. For a better idea, check out this set from Burning Man last year:
By tradition, this Tutu Tuesday is a fundraising event so I am proud to be selling tutus at the door to support Fergus Strickland's tutu project at this year's Burning Man. At dawn on Tuesday, this generous man is setting out with a gifting tree of thousands of tutus with the grand vision of ensuring a tutu for every BRC citizen who wants to participate in the sacrament of tutu wearing on Tuesday. I mean...how could we not get behind that?
You can support by purchasing a tutu for $10 at the door. We will have 50 available for sale! Check out his Kickstarter for the tutu project here:
Seeing all your tutus on the playa is one of my favorite days of the year! This event's participators are a huge part of making that magic possible and for that I am eternally grateful. THANKS GUYS!
