SUB SOCIETY - For decades, San Francisco has been an epicenter of the global creative community. However, The rapid changes we are seeing in both the artistic and economic landscapes of this beautiful city have left us in need of new and innovative ways to restore our artists back to their once-thriving state.
Sub Society was founded to provide a monthly event for our underground family that exposes its wealth of talent to San Francisco in a way that unites us in this evolving economy without sacrificing our artists’ originality.
We offer a night of music, art, libations and dancing to those looking to discover both local gems as well as international talent. San Francisco is experiencing a surge in new residents, and there is no shortage of enthusiasm for our city’s wealth of creativity.
When it comes to the sound of Sub Society, we present a unique range of music—from bass to house, garage, and more. Our selections are focused on both up-and-coming, just-around-the-corner acts as well as established heavy-hitters who bring experience to the decks from around the world.
With a strong focus on a unique pop-up gallery layout, our featured visual artists vary greatly in style, medium and taste, but all have one thing in common: their dedication to breaking the mold of what’s expected from their craft.
Sub Society is held every third Thursday of the month at Harlot in San Francisco, located at 46 Minna Street. We hope to see you there!
