( ( ( HOUSEPITALITY ) ) ) proudly presents the SF DEBUT of a legendary Chicago house tastemaker, our resident Chicagoa maven, and a very special post-Campout decompression meltdown set in the back room from “US King of Cosmic Disco”:

::SPECTER (Tetrode / Sound Signature | Chicago)::
::TYREL WILLIAMS (SS Records, Housepitality | SF/CHI)::

Post-Campout decompression meltdown Groove Lounge takeover set by:

::SLEAZY MCQUEEN (Whiskey Disco | Orlando)::

We're so lucky to constantly bring amazing talent and exclusive bookings to you every single week, and this (post-Campout) week is no exception.

We’re hosting the SF debut (!!!) of a talented DJ/producer/label owner hailing from Chicago. He’s been in the business of house for about 20 years, developing along the way a unique house sound to call his own, one that has been described as “deeply soulful, sensual, earthy, warm and nocturnal with a good measure of sublime disco, acid house, jazzy inflections and pure funk.” Yeah. Like that.

Opening up for him is our extremely talented resident Tyrel Williams, about whom I probably don’t have to explain much, other than to say that he’s from Chicago, he lives here now and has been a huge part of our party’s successful run. Oh, and he’s a world-class house DJ who has never played a bad set and yet somehow always seems to outdo himself. Check it.

In the back, a VERY special post-Campout decompression set from an absolute legend from the other side of the country: Sleazy McQueen, the disco edit king himself. As the owner of label Whiskey Disco, he’s been infusing the disco edit world with class and sleaze, and has had a huge impact on the disco edit world, “combining the dirty fun of seventies funk with the hypnotic rhythms of deep house.”

This is going to be special. Don’t miss out.

We love you. We got you.

Andres Ordonez aka Specter developed and crafted his signature style of the Chicago house sound over a span of 19 years. Specter’s ambience-driven, organic touch exudes an infectious groove that is deeply soulful, sensual, earthy, warm and nocturnal with a good measure of sublime disco, acid house, jazzy inflections and pure funk.

Specter’s interest in house music piqued in the 80′s, when the wunderkind genre blew up in the city of Chicago. Specter would tape and devour the novel, often raw and eventually legendary mixes from radio stations like WBMX, WCYC, WCRX, WKKC and WGCI. Early influences include DJs like Farley Jackmaster Funk, Edward i Get Down Crosby, Mickey Oliver, Bobby bobby,Lee Collins, lil louis, the Hot Mix 5 and the inimitable Ron Hardy. Specter started DJaying at 15 playing house, disco and italo . Spinning at basement parties around the city and suburbs. When Chicago’s loft-party and rave scene started to take off in the mid-90s, Specter began incorporating the edgier, minimal heat of Detroit techno into his sound.

By 1999 and 2000, Specter had established himself as a respected DJ through his many mix tapes and playing loft parties around the city, He Also co-founded a production label with Damon Lamar aka Baby pop called Tetrode Music. The first EP release from Tetrode dropped in 2000 and became a underground classic. “For All the Music/Mystery”. Following up with the second release “Mediterranean/Defining Moment” in 2002. Tetrode 03 came out two years later in 2004 titled “The Deep Theory Ep”. Years later after taking off some time for personal reasons, specter has returned in 08 and has released a track on Deep Explorer out of spain (Windtalker) And another track on Chicago label Eargasmic Recordings ( I don’t need). The track was recently licensed for a harley and muscle mix comp called Deep house part 1. Tetrode mUsic is up and running again with releases planned thru the end of this year and continuing thru 2010.

Tyrel Williams

Tyrel has been a mainstay of Chicago’s underground House scene for years. He began mixing records in 1999. Soon later he landed a job at Gramaphone Records where he spent many years building his collection of dance records. He spent 2008-2011 building his Acid Test residency at Smart Bar, which is an all vinyl House / Techno party. Guests have included Derrick Carter, Traxx, Justin Long, Convextion, Dave Aju, and Tevo Howard. Tyrel has recently moved to San Francisco where he is a resident DJ for Housepitality. He has also recently started a project with Bryan Bai-ee called Secret Studio with releases on their own label SS Records.

Sleazy McQueen

As owner of the record label Whiskey Disco, Sleazy McQueen has helped to give the 'Nu-Disco' scene an element of referential class. With remarkably well produced re-works and originals, the Sleazy sound combines the dirty fun of seventies funk with the hypnotic rhythms of deep house. As a dj, he has travelled from Asia to Europe, both Americas and a constant tour of the United States.

His music productions have been licensed to over 100 releases, remixes & edits on labels worldwide, including, but not limited to; Bearfunk, Virgin, Compost, Paper Recordings, Siesta & House Arrest.
