Lights Down Low DJs

Upon his impending exit from his teenage years, Norway-bred 19-year-old DJ/producer, Jerry Folk, has been organically developing an impressively substantial following through his innate ability to surprise fans each time he releases one of his eclectic productions. Remixing the likes of Baby Bash, Oh Wonder, Chromeo, ZZ Ward and already taking a turn with an original production, the rising talent has accrued millions of plays on his SoundCloud artist page and has already seen support from fellow Norwegian superstars Kygo and Lindstrøm.

Jerry Folk creatively instills his signature blend of indie, disco, funk, R&B, and house in a captivating, yet sophisticated, manner with every release he touches, and demonstrates a trend of versatility across his catalog of musical outputs. While he continues moving forward at the pinnacle of dance newcomers destined for success, Jerry Folk presents an example of a young talent with proven production techniques well beyond his years, and he continues to disregard the barriers of genre labels in an attempt to further develop his indicative style.

POMO (HW&W Recordings) -
Pomo is a Canadian multi-instrumentalist and producer living in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Growing up in Port Moody, BC, he matured through the Vancouver music scene, introducing himself to various elements of music. After moving eastward to Montreal in 2012 for a couple of years, Pomo has hit his stride in the electronic dance music market, joining the likes of Kaytranada, Ta-Ku, and Stwo on the HW&W roster.

Drawing from various influences, Pomo makes an effort to distance himself from genre-defining elements while approaching his music from an organic and raw songwriting perspective. Using elements from hip hop, electronic, and 70s/80s funk, the multifaceted producer likes to draw people in with the malleable dynamics of his music, something that attracts himself to artists like J Dilla, Prince, Disclosure, and the emerging EDM scene as a whole.

Pomo has broken into the international market, receiving recognition from media outlets like Vice’s Noisey, THUMP, Earmilk, Soulection Radio, 22 Tracks, Clash, Majestic Casual, Fader and many more. Now, growing on his electronic music notoriety, Pomo has released official remixes for Disclosure, Sam Smith, Mark Ronson, Snakehips Alina Baraz & Galimatias, AlunaGeorge, Darius and more and is preparing to expand his presence by bringing his live show overseas, making appearances through Europe, Asia North & South America and Australia.

A pocketknife is one of the most utilitarian tools you can possess. “It is small but has a million uses. It can open locks, cut ties and be used as a weapon or even for first aid,” says Monica Birkenes, aka Mr Little Jeans. Pocketknife also happens to be the title of the Norwegian chanteuse’s debut album, due out on Capitol imprint Harvest Records in March of 2014. “I see it as an extension of yourself that symbolizes strength, intelligence and courage.” The titular inspiration for her record comes from a line in lead single, “Good Mistake,” which has already entered heavy rotation on KCRW, the preeminent taste making radio station in LA (where Mr Little Jeans now resides).
