This Valentines day DISTRIKT presents the return of KUPID to one our favorite and more intimate venues, Audio, located in our hometown of San Francisco. The Audio dance floor will be getting started at 2pm, featuring DISTRIKT resident DJs Ben Seagren, Kramer and Darren Grayson, along with special guests from the MAYAN WARRIOR, Damian Romero and Holder. You may have been at DISTRIKT when the Mayan stopped by on that cold and dusty Friday afternoon at Burning Man 2015 or have caught a sunrise set on the playa with their incredible art and sound bus. Damian Romero is the also the man behind avant-garde festival MUTEX MX, while Mayan resident Holder produces some of Mexico City and Tulum's best events with Project Sound.
Want to get your day drinking started a little earlier? We’ll be kicking things off at 12 noon at Bergerac, the craft cocktail bar and impromptu house party located downstairs of Audio. Bergerac will be require no cover charge. Reservations are strongly encouraged if coming with a group. DISTRIKT is a production of The Deep End 501c3 non-profit music and art collective born of the Burning Man event. Our mission? Building and supporting an inclusive and diverse community by embracing people, music and art.
We celebrate community. We mentor altruism, the pure joy of giving. We celebrate the electronic music and alternative arts community by throwing furious & fierce events throughout the year in the desert and beyond, providing creatively designed spaces for free expression in music, dance, and the full panoply of artistic modalities. As a non-profit, we fundraise to bestow art grants for projects which otherwise might not manifest.
Our eclectic coterie offer up their talents — be it music making, drink slinging, construction craftiness, technological wizardry, performance art, or benevolent mischief. We live and breathe our ethos year round, giving back to the community that has inspired and bonded us together. This is our culture, this is our art, this is our gift.
We grow our community through new blood, new ideas, and old friends. DISTRIKT is the very best part of us ALL.
