BUZZ: A New Year's Eve Party to Benefit The Lab
Bust out of the hive this New Year’s Eve for BUZZ, an epic performance art experience conceived entirely by artists as a benefit for The Lab – San Francisco’s 32-year old experimental art space. $85 tickets are tax deductible and include an open bar.
Expect the unexpected during an evening of artist-designed environments, theatrical activations, and performances by:
AH MER AH SU
And none other than the “drag terrorist” herself, CHRISTEENE!
Hosted by Peaches Christ
Late-night beats courtesy of DJ Haram (Discwoman).
Attire: Flamboyant / Dystopic.
All proceeds from BUZZ directly support The Lab’s residency program, providing artists with a living wage and the resources to continue radical practices. Each ticket sold is partially tax-deductible and helps to keep San Francisco strange, exciting, and artistically engaged!
BUZZ is 21+. Gray Area Foundation for the Arts is a wheelchair accessible space a block and a half from the 24th St / Mission BART Station.
Tune in, turn up, and get BUZZ’d at Gray Area on New Year’s Eve 2017!
ABOUT THE LAB
The Lab believes that if we give artists enough time, space, and funding to realize their vision, the work they produce will change the way we experience the world. These are often small propositions that (like all great art) challenge the familiar ways we perceive value, and so we seek out extraordinary artists who are underrepresented as a result of gender, class, race, sexuality, or geography, and whose work is not easily defined and therefore monetized. As a site of constant iteration and indeterminacy, The Lab is, above all, a catalyst for artistic experimentation. Learn more at www.thelab.org
The Lab is W.A.G.E. Certified. W.A.G.E. Certification is a program initiated and operated by working artists that publicly recognizes non-profit arts organizations demonstrating a commitment to voluntarily paying artist fees that meet a minimum standard.
